Burlington Visits Twistie’s

In his first adventure Burlington visits the auction house Twistie’s of Bond Street with his best friend Marmaduke, a portly Scottie dog. In the auction Burlington raises his paw to swat a fly and accidentally buys a bear miniature portrait for £100. He is very worried he cannot afford it. In a panic the two friends rush off to Mr Grizzle at Bearings Bank to see what can be done.

In Burlington’s second adventure he decides to get a job after overspending at Twistie’s of Bond Street. He needs to earn some money so he can afford carrot cake and Earl Grey tea at ‘Crumpets of Curzon Street’, his favourite teashop. Burlington goes to work for the Governor of the Bank of England to count bars of gold with his best friend Marmaduke. He soon gets distracted and accidentally sells a bar of gold bullion. He is very worried and has to enlist the help of his new friend J.P. Fairbanks, a clever fox, who helps him out of a sticky situation…

Burlington’s Highland Adventures

Burlington is exhausted after working at the Bank of England for the day so is thrilled when he is invited to the Highlands of Scotland with his best friends Marmaduke, Mooey and Darling. The friends are invited to stay at Inverleakie Castle by Marmaduke’s cousins. The castle is very pretty, nestling by a loch, but has a leaking roof and no hot water and haggis cooked by none other than Mrs. McBurn. Burlington’s secret supply of carrot cake mysteriously goes missing with strange noises in the night. He has great fun fishing, flying in a helicopter and judging the carrot cake competition at the local Highland Games. Burlington soon forgets washing in the ice cold loch and has to solve the mystery at Inverleakie Castle…

Burlington Meets The Queen

Burlington and Marmaduke are invited to Buckingham Palace to watch Changing of the Guard by their friend Hamish a penguin in the Scots Guards. Unfortunately Burlington and Marmaduke soon get distracted by a corgi called Duchess who takes them on a tour of the Palace. Burlington’s morning turns into a real adventure when Duchess introduces her new friends to The Queen who invites the pair for a cup of Earl Grey tea and carrot cake. In the excitement Burlington and Marmaduke have forgotten all about Hamish who is frantically looking for them. Happily they are soon reunited and make their way to St. James’s Palace where Hamish has invited Burlington and his friends to lunch to end the perfect day…
